Mandala Workshop

Chalice Well Meeting Room - Glastonbury | 4-5 March 2017

Come and spend the weekend in mystical Glastonbury and explore the ancient practice of mandala making and sacred geometry.  No experience is needed, you do not need to be an artist nor have any knowledge of geometry or maths.  You will learn about the symbolism of mandalas and create two mandalas to take home, one will use the Flower of Life pattern and one will be a ‘free-form’ mandala of your own design (which can be of any design and does not have to use geometric pattern).  We will use a sharing circle, some simple meditation and guided visualisation to help centre you while you connect with your intentions.

Mandala comes from Sanskrit and means circle.  To create a mandala can be a deeply contemplative, meditative and healing practice.  You will tune out from the noise of a busy life whilst enjoying the company of some like-minded people.

All materials will be provided and a range of media will be available for colouring and /or painting your mandalas.   You will be shown how to use a compass and there will be plenty of opportunity to practice before you complete your final version.  Feel free to bring your own pens and pencils, or anything that you might want to use to adorn your mandalas (glitter pens are one of my favourite items).

Workshop Venue

The workshop will be held in the Meeting Room at the beautiful Chalice Well Garden in Glastonbury.  The workshop includes free entry to the gardens.  Teas and coffees will be provided.  Please bring your own lunch or walk into Glastonbury.

Workshop Times

The workshop will run from 10am to 4.30pm on both days, arriving from 9.45pm.

Parking is not available at the Chalice Well, however limited public parking is generally available in nearby Draper's Car Park, on your right-hand side if you're driving away from Glastonbury High St.
